			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>World Cup preparations are well under way for the Australian Kookaburra&#8217;s, who are currently playing a three game test series against Korea at the Tasmanian Hockey center starting today. </p>
<p><strong>The games to be played are as follows:</strong> <span id="more-1305"></span></p>

<li> Saturday 30 January- 5pm</li>
<li> Sunday 31 January- 7pm</li>

<p>Hockey Australia Chief Executive Mark Anderson stated the reason&#8217;s behind offer the three game series to Tasmania: </p>
<blockquote><p>One of our key objectives is to ensure the exposure of our sport across Australia. It is important that Tasmania has exposure to our elite teams and we are aware that it has been a long time since the State had the opportunity to host the Kookaburras. These Test matches offer sports lovers in Tasmania a tremendous opportunity to see one of Australia’s most successful sporting teams live and we would encourage spectators to make the most of the series. </p></blockquote>

<div>Tasmania are currently 6th on the <a href="http://www.sportingpulse.com/comp_info.cgi?c=4-2702-0-71784-0&amp;pool=1&amp;round=0&amp;a=LADDER">ladder</a> out of eight (state &amp; territories) with 1 win and 1 draw and have a further two games to be played. Our next game being tomorrow against the host, Northern Territory and then the last game is against New South Wales.</div>
<div><a href="http://www.hockey.org.au/Default.aspx?tabid=110">The championships </a>are being played in very hot and humid condition in Darwin.</div>
