The One HD Delayed

OneHD
Regional centers across mainland Australia started to receive the new 24 hour sports channel last week and capital cities have been receiving the broadcast since March, but still Tasmania remain in the dark on when it will start to receive the broadcast.
According to an article in the Mercury dated July the 3rd, there had been some setbacks and Tasmanian Digital Television (TDT) general manager Stephen Giles stated that:
“We were hoping we would have been able to come out today and announce a start date, we’re hoping to do that shortly. TDT is still committed to bringing One HD to Tasmania and we’ll be letting everyone know about transmission shortly”
Tasmania was going to be left off the map once again and if it wasn’t for a campaign led by Gary Tew and Garry O’Brien who lobbied with politicians and created a facebook group which has just shy of 10,000 members. This and work from various politicians has been successful but we still are in the dark on OneHD.
