Sydney to Hobart – The Finish
Neville Crichton’s 100 foot supermaxi took out line honours in this years Rolex Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
Crossing the finish line opposite Castray Esplanade last night (Monday 28th December) at 10:02am local time to record a total time of 2 days, 9 hours, 2 minutes and 10 seconds. The boat completed the race with an average speed of 11 knots. Beating last years line honors winner Wild Oates by around an hour and half.
The first Tasmanian yacht over the line was Investec LOYAL who finished at 7:34am this morning (Tuesday 29th December) in fifth place overall.
Investec LOYAL is skippered & owned by Sean Langman & during this race supported raising money for the LOYAL Foundation by having Danny Green, Grant Hackett, Phil Waugh, Phil Kearns, and Larry Emdur on board as part of the crew.
