Victoria have pulled off their highest ever run chase in limited over’s Cricket to secure the victory over Tasmania in their Ford Ranger Cup Game on Saturday.<

The Victoria victory was even sweeter as they were without skipper Cameron White, Jon Holland, Andrew McDonald, Clint McKay who are all on National duties, and have injuries to the pace trio of Peter Siddle, Damien Wright and Dirk Nannes. br/>
Rhett Lockyear took advantage of the Bushrangers second-string bowling attack and scored 111 off just 98 balls as the wickets tumbled at the other end until George Bailey and Travis Birt added 63 & 66 respectively to steer the Tigers to a good score, setting the home side a run a ball run chase.

The Bushrangers however got off to a flyer but were quickly brought back in by the Tigers bowlers in Jason Kreja & Brendan Drew & were 4-126 at the halfway mark of their innings. The lesser know lower order Bushrangers held strong and played brilliant Cricket to steer their side to the win with only four balls to come, with ex-Tasmanian Mathew Wade figuring strongly in the end with 30 runs from 35 balls.
