Geale & The Long Road to a Re-match
Daniel Geale’s main aim on the Road to a re-match fight night held at the Launceston Silverdome was to give himself a work out before he has another crack at Anthony “The Man” Mundine. And he didn’t let himself or his fans down by going on to win by unanimous points decision to claim the vacant IBF Pan-Pacific middleweight belt over his Brizillian opponent, Samir Barbosa.
“The man” Mundine also had it all his own way in his main event fight against Alejandro Gustavo Falliga from Argentina. The Argentine was totally outclassed as Mundine chased him to every corner of the ring.
The re-match which The International Boxing Organisation ordered Mundine to fight before February 27 or be stripped of the title he won from Geale was supposed to be held in Tasmania. But now Mundine’s manager Khoder Nasser has stated that his main job was to get the best deal for his client.
