Eagles Loose Coach In Accidental Clash

Just heard news that Eagles coach Mathew Smith has suffered fractured bones in his face (unsure of the exact injury).
This happened during a intra-club practise match when Smith and the rampaging Lee Post clashed in an accidental collision in which Smith came off second best. This sort of injury will take some time to heal and more than likely will require an operation. I would imagine that Smith will at least miss the first few games of the season.
This is another hit for the club that were Premier League premiers in 2005, after an exodus of players to the Brighton Football Club. The players to leave and play at Brighton are apparently Sean Salter, Nathan Barwick, Matthew Martin, Trent Graham and Matthew Wilson. Check more out in this here: Southern Football News
Loosing these sorts of players from any club would be a drain on playing personnel but don’t count the Eagles off. They are a tough side that will fight to the end and the first Eagles -V- Robins clash in Round 5 on the 5th Maywill be a real cracker.

  1. I heard that this accident could be a bit worse than first thought and could see the coach out for up to half a season.
